42-year-old client admitted to hospital for apparent acute alcohol withdrawal symptoms, who otherwise displayed symptoms of bleeding in the brain. The bleed was not timely diagnosed and the gentleman suffered brain injury resulting in severe long term memory loss and aphasia. Settlement of case enabled client to live comfortably for rest of life.
21-year-old client traveling at high rate of speed on motorcycle collides with car pulling from driveway. Client suffers permanent loss of function to hand and facial cuts and scarring. Jury returns verdict in excess of $100,000.
53-year-old client falls from tree stand while hunting deer in southern Iowa and suffers concussion. Client taken to emergency department that fails to diagnose traumatic lesion to the brain. Later client suffers stroke, and is permanently disabled as a result. Case settled for over 3 million dollars.
